Staff in grades K–12 will learn to implement explicit instruction strategies in their classes. How well students learn depends on how well they’re taught. Research shows that explicit instruction—instruction that is systematic, direct, engaging, and success oriented—promotes achievement for all students. This training gives general and special education teachers the tools they need to implement explicit instruction at any grade or content level. Participants will learn to design instruction that focuses on critical content, breaks down complex skills, and provides systematic instruction and judicious practice. They will also learn research-based strategies for delivering instruction that engages students and maximizes instructional time.
