•••Professional Experience

Marcie Polin started her career in education as a sixth grade Language Arts teacher in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. After thirteen years as a teacher, she took a position as Assistant Principal for a middle school. She enjoyed the challenge so much that she took on the role of Principal the following year and stayed in that position until she became the At-Risk Coordinator for the Bonner County School District in Sandpoint, Idaho— a position that enabled her to create programs and strategies for at-risk youth.

Working with students at risk of failure gave Marcie an opportunity to think about a different approach to education. Traditional educational settings don't work for all students. As the Principal of the Collins Alternative Programs in White River School District, she administered a variety of programs designed to keep secondary students in school.
